Pauline Zalitzki and her significant other Paul Weinzweig actually made the discovery of their lifetime back in 2001 as they appeared to have struck the motherload as far as findings go, coming across an incredible reading that changed their lives forever. They were undergoing a mission for the Cuban Government when they caught the reading across the coast of the Guanahacabibes Peninsula in the Pinar del Rio province of Cuba.
According to them, they found traces of granite structures at the bottom of the sea which were strangely symmetrical and geometrical. They concluded immediately that what they had come across wasn’t natural, and that it was what appeared to be the remnants of an ancient civilization or something of that sort.
After further scanning, they realized that the whole submerged city was around 2 square kilometers wide and that it was around 2,000 to 2,460 feet deep.
The following pictures were all taken from the site. As you can tell, ancient structures including pyramids were uncovered here of up to 8 by 6 feet. As far as the team can tell, the city dates back to around 50,000 years ago and according to multiple sources, it might actually be a part of the ancient Lost City of Atlantis.
What do you think? Do you think this could be the mythical Atlantis after all or is it yet another fluke? Let us know. Article by Ancient Blog.
